Constitution Of Madina
Constitution Of Madina The constitution of Madina or the charter of Madina is the constitution of first Islamic State in the city of Madina which ended the 100 years old inter-tribal fighting between the two tribes, Aws and Khazraj of Madina. The historians further agree on the fact that this constitution established the following at Madina: •Peace and security of the community •Religious freedom for all the community-members •Acceptance of Madinah as a sacred place (barring all violence and weapons) •Security of women Equipped with these principles, the Prophet (PBUH) managed to establish the first Islamic state, which included people of different religions and several cultural backgrounds in an Ummah Wahidah (one nation) based on universal principles that constituted the Charter.
