Hazrat Abu Hurairah’s(R.A)



Hazrat Abu Hurairah’s(R.A) real name was  Hazrat Abdul Rahman Ibn Sakhr Al-Azdi(R.A). He was born in 603 in Yemen and is one of the companions of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). 


Hazrat Abdul Rahman(R.A) was born in Yemen, from where one of his tribesmen after becoming a Muslim went back to him and preached him about Islam. He went to Madina and accepted Islam at the hands of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). He used to take care of the mosque and would feed the leftover to the cats, because of which he was named Abu Hurairah (father of cats). He spent 3 years in service of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad(PBUH) and is the narrator of about 5,375 ahadith. He went on expeditions to preach Islam. 


Hazrat Abu Huraira (R.A)passed away in year 681 CE and rests in Jannatul Baqi.
